This plate is used when mounting the Trijicon® RMR to the slide of a pistol. Most slides do not have sufficient width to fully cover the O-ring built into the optic. This allows water and debris to enter the optic, which will cause major reliability issues. Our thin (.015" thick) titanium sealing plate will seal against the O-ring, and keep the optic as low as possible. We specifically make this plate for the Type 2 series, which do not require any battery shims, and can in fact be damaged by doing so. We have found these to work on the Typr 1 series as well, when a shim under the battery is used.
